Apart from its well publicised beaches, the South pacific has an excellent variety of sightseeing to keep you busy. Most destinations have stunning tropical rain forest with waterfalls and panoramic lookouts and these make great days out. Also popular are cultural tours, particularly in Fiji and Samoa where it is possible to visit traditional villages and participate in village life.

Fiji has the most varied attractions for sightseeing with nadi and the Coral Coast on the mian island of Viti L:evu being the best bases. Nadi has the option of both day cruises to tyhe offshore islands as well us scenic tours alog the Coral Coast. The Coral Coast is a better option to really explore Viti Levu's tropical mounatins. The best areas are to the east of the Coral Coast inalnd from Pacific Harbour.

Samoa runs a close second in sightseeing with both Upolu and Savaii having excellent scenery. These include lots of waterfalls and stunning remote beaches on Upolu and the lava fields, blowholes and rainforest canopy walk on Savaii.

Tahiti too has exceeltn sightseeing with Cooks Bay and Opunohu Bay on Moorea being major tourist attractions. the main island of Tahiti has some lovely mountain scenery and llokouts whilst Bora Bora offers excellent sightseing on a day cruise around the lagoon.

The Cook Islands has several great tours into the rainforest on Rartonga as weel as day cruises to sandspits and deserted beaches in Aitutakli Lagoon.

Tonga is renowned for its archaeoligical sites on Tongatapu and sightseeing around the waterways of Vavau with a very good chance of seeing humpback whales and calves between May and October.
